Is Athleta worth it?
Athleta is worth it if you want women's activewear with a reputation for broader sizing, petite and tall options and a performance guarantee. It is less compelling if you want the most fashion-forward or the cheapest option. We have not tested Athleta ourselves; this page summarizes the brand's published details and what owners commonly report.
Athleta is part of Gap Inc. and sells at premium-leaning prices, roughly in the neighborhood of Lululemon and Alo for comparable pieces, though it runs frequent promotions. Its pitch is women-focused design and a fit range that aims wider than many rivals.
What Athleta does best
Athleta is best known for leggings and sports bras with real size coverage, plus travel-friendly dresses and layers. The Salutation line is a popular legging, and the Ultimate Bra is its widely recommended bra. Owners often praise the cut and say pieces hold up through repeated wear.

Sizing and fit
On its pages we saw the Ultimate Bra in XXS–XL (A–C cups), but we did not verify Athleta's full range today. The brand is widely described as offering extended and petite or tall options on leggings, so confirm inseam options on the specific page. Returns and shipping
Per the brand's return FAQ, online purchases can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery in original condition (unwashed, unworn). Encore Premier members get 45 days and All-Access cardmembers up to 60. Return shipping is free for Encore members, but nonmembers pay a $6 return shipping fee. Final sale items and Encore Market items cannot be returned. The page also advertises "free shipping $35+ with Encore Credit Card"; we did not verify a general threshold.
The brand's "Give-It-A-Workout Guarantee" states: "If it doesn't perform, return it within 30 days of the delivery date."
